San
Antonio - 8:00 a.m. at the ballfield (526
7th
Ave, San Antonio, FL).
This is a beautiful and fast ride, definitely a must do when in
the area. Riders can opt to do 40, 50, 60 or more
miles, with stops at different convenient stores for drinks and
'support'. The Sunday ride begins at
8:00
, which puts the temperature at the end of the longer
rides somewhere between the 90 s with 100% humidity and physically
on fire.

ride, with hills and practice sprints. Next the ride heads toward

Davis
Island Interval Ride (info courtesy of Tall Ed Collins) - Tuesday
and Thursday Nights between 5:00 - 7:00PM. This ride has
no "official" start time. Due to its out-and-back
configuration, simply ride along either Channel Drive or S. Davis
Blvd until you see the pack. Depending on the night and
weather, there can be between 8-20 riders. At the turn-arounds
the group recollects any dropped riders and then accelerates until
there a mad sprint at the other end. Everyone but the lead
rider gets dropped during the last 100 yards. Do a U-turn, hop
on again, and repeat as many times as you like. This repeats
until everyone is tired and heads home. There are many
Triathletes who "shadow" the main group doing their own
"steady" workout. Find a group that fits your pace
and jump in. Click
here to see a map of the bike route.
