From
waterfalls to snow-capped peaks, setting sun to leis, why did I
have to ride my bike and
crash before the race?

Yes,
we love the Christmas time. Best of all the year. We have waited
for it so long. Now, at last, it's here. |

The

brought me home today cradled in their arms. They cuddled me and

"And if all others accepted the lie which
the Party imposed—if all records told the same
tale—then the lie passed into history and became
truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the Party slogan,
'controls the future: who controls the present
controls the past.'"

May 8, 2008 - I owed my wife something special for all she's had to endure lately. So, I took her for a nice walk this evening right past Bern's Steakhouse. We enjoyed a wonderful 'whiff' of aged steak, French onion soup, baked potatoes, carrots and green beans. Ahhh. Reminds me of the good old days. Like when we were dual income and could dine at such an establishment with nary a worry nor care. 'Go ahead, sir. Pour me a half ounce of your special 1849 vintage Portugese bual.' Yep, I feel kinda like Dan Aykroyd did in that scene in Trading Places. Standing outside in the rain wearing a nappy Santa suit....So, I hear the Congress (heh heh, you just thought you might get away with reading nothing economic or political on this site, didn't ya?)is proposing a homeowner bailout plan. I wrote the following email to Prez Bush today. It is titled 'No Housing Bailouts!': "Please, stop this madness! I am writing to ask you to veto any housing bailout that comes out of Congress.
I am a responsible taxpayer. A saver. You guys are already destroying my wealth (via interest rate reductions) for your Wall Street puppet masters. Don't further destroy it with irresponsible housing bailout plans.
Signed, Robert Skaggs,
A responsible citizen (and ex-Republican)". Will there be helicopters and floodlights at the Skaggs household this evening?..Speaking of bailouts.
Ugh
and double
ugh.
And
here
he goes. Anything is fair game as long as it's related to keeping the debt serfs of America drowning in debt
while
saving
Wall Street (The future $66 billion bonuses are at stake). Where's my bailout? I lost my job. My car is old and needs replacing. I could use a new suit. I've made a few bum trades in the market. There's just no end to the madness....How long before our
coinage is made of plastic? Or, perhaps chocolate with gold and silver wrapping? After all, what is fiat coinage other than simply perception?....And, finally. For all those parents who wish to raise junior into a super star hedge fund manager one day. Please read this
primer. |
